As the star guest of our themed evening, \u201860 Years of the Porsche 911 F Model,\u2019 we will be presenting Alois Ruf and his 901 prototype Quickblau next Saturday. Alois Ruf made history with his manufactory for high-performance automobiles. \u201cYellowbird\u201d is just one of the keywords: 29 examples of the car were built from 1987 onwards, and collectors today sell it for several million euros. With an almost unbelievable power output of 469 hp and a top speed of 342 km\/h, the yellow racer even made it into the computer games industry: Alois Ruf’s yellow super sports car for the Play Station was sold over 80 million times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alois Ruf has restored and maintains the largest number of Porsche 901s in the world.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is probably no other expert in the world who knows more about the prototypes of the Porsche 901 and the original 911 than Alois Ruf. Alois Ruf restored and looked after the largest number of the seven 901 prototypes and the 82 production vehicles that still rolled off the production line as Type 901s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another sensation became known on the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 in 2023, as Alois Ruf owns the oldest existing 901 prototype: Number 6, nicknamed “Quickblau”, was Ferdinand Pi\u00ebch’s test vehicle and was subsequently sold on to Hans Mezger. In 2020, Alois Ruf began an extensive, multi-year restoration of the oldest nine-eleven ever. Quickblau is in the condition of a new car for the 60th anniversary of the nine-eleven.
