The Porsche 993 Carrera was available from model years 1994 to 1998 and was first listed in the price list 8-1993 with a price of 125,760 DM. The 993 Carrera Coup\u00e9 became one of the most beautiful and harmonious 911s ever. <\/p>\n\n

While there were still 18 different colours (6 solid colours and 12 metallic paints) available for the predecessor 964 in the 1993 model year, the range for the new 993 Carrera was significantly reduced. <\/p>\n\n

In the 1994 and 1995 model years, the selection was limited to a total of 12 different colors. These were divided into 6 solid colors and 6 optional metallic finishes. The new additions to the solid color range were Riviera Blue, Amaranth Violet, and Speed \u200b\u200bYellow. Maritime Blue, Mint Green, and Signal Green were no longer available as standard paint finishes. <\/p>\n\n

All three colors perfectly suited the sporty appearance of the 964, with its Cup-design wheels and mirrors, but weren’t a perfect fit for the significantly more elegant lines of the 993. Therefore, the Color & Trim department selected new colors for the Porsche 993. The result was impressive, as the new shades of Riviera Blue and Speed \u200b\u200bYellow were a real enhancement. The press photo with the 993 team was also taken in front of a Speed \u200b\u200bYellow car. The new color Amaranth Violet, on the other hand, was chosen relatively rarely. <\/p>\n\n

The new additions to the metallic paint range were Iris Blue Metallic and Aventura Green Metallic. The one-off Porsche 993 Carrera Speedster, built specifically for F. A. Porsche, was also painted Aventura Green Metallic in 1995. <\/p>\n\n

The following metallic colors were no longer available in the 1994 model year: Amethyst Metallic, Cobalt Blue Metallic, Horizon Blue Metallic, Oak Green Metallic, Violet Blue Metallic, and Amazon Green Metallic. Anyone wanting to choose one of these colors for their vehicle had to resort to a PTS special “Paint to Sample” paint job. <\/p>\n\n

All colors for the 993 Carrera can be found in the book “Porsche 993 \u2013 30 Years.” Additional color chapters with vehicle animations are available for the Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Carrera RS, and the 993 Turbo. <\/p>\n\n
