Alois Ruf made history with his manufactory for high-performance automobiles. “Yellowbird” is just one of the keywords: 29 examples of the car were built from 1987 onwards, and collectors today sell it for several million euros. With an almost unbelievable power output of 469 hp and a top speed of 342 km/h, the yellow racer even made it into the computer games industry: Alois Ruf’s yellow super sports car for the Play Station was sold over 80 million times.

Another sensation became known on the 60th anniversary of the Porsche 911 in 2023, as Alois Ruf owns the oldest existing 901 prototype: Number 6, nicknamed “Quickblau”, was Ferdinand Piëch’s test vehicle and was subsequently sold on to Hans Mezger. In 2020, Alois Ruf began an extensive, multi-year restoration of the oldest nine-eleven ever. Quickblau is in the condition of a new car for the 60th anniversary of the nine-eleven.
