The 964 generation also became one of the most important model series in the history of the nine-eleven, as the concept, which was considered outdated, was catapulted into the present with state-of-the-art technology in the 1989 model year. The 911 Carrera 4 was the first series-produced all-wheel-drive sports car to be far ahead of its time.

“Porsche 964 -THE BOOK 1989 – 1994” presents every single model of this series and goes into detail on all special models and rare prototypes such as the 964 CS “Clubsport”. Only one example of this model was made, which is completely unknown even to many experts on the subject. Louise Piech’s private 911 Carrera 4 will also be presented – an exclusive vehicle with a very special interior. Author Andreas Gabriel was able to meet the engineer for an interview, who was instrumental in ensuring the survival of the nine-eleven from 1979 onwards and also shaped the 964 model series.
