With the further developed Porsche 907, Porsche was able to fight for overall victories in the one-make world championship under its own steam for the first time in 1968 and even managed a triple victory. They crossed the finish line in the triple victory formation. A short time later, Hans Mezger captured this scene with his Kodak Retina Reflex: the reward for the triumph – the winner’s wreath rests on the successful Porsche 907 LH, on which the race has left only a trace of soiling from use.
